Rise & Shine to a Successful Morning

At times, mornings can be a drag. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, it is a fact that the earlier you wake up the more successful your day will be. Successful CEOs, government officials, and other influential people have all been known to wake up early with a filled agenda before 8 a.m. to end the day with triumph. Let’s explore some of the things that you can do to give yourself a better morning.

5) Do the Things that you Dread First

We all have tasks that we continue to procrastinate on and that we dread to do. But, if we do these things first thing in the morning they will seem less stressful because we are well rested and our energy levels are up.

4) Meditate

While physical health is important, mental health should never be overlooked. Start off your mornings meditating or simply visualizing your work day and day-dreaming the success you will have in the near future. Doing this for a few minutes every morning relieves stress and improves your attitude at work.

3) Eat a Healthy Breakfast

No more running out the house with just a bagel and a cup of coffee. Actually sit down and enjoy a wholesome breakfast, preferably with your family, significant other or a good friend. Whether its eggs and fruit or just a bowl of oatmeal, starting your day off with a good breakfast fuels the body and helps you stay focus throughout the day.

2) Plan

Prioritize your activities by mapping out your day in the mornings. Planning ahead allows for uninterrupted problem solving when you begin scheduling your agenda.

1) Exercise

Studies show that most people who are successful with a daily workout do their exercising in the mornings. Hitting the gym before work will prep you for the day, give you a boost in buoyancy, and will make you feel accomplished.

Don’t get me wrong, starting this morning plan will be difficult the first week. There will be times when you want to stay in bed an extra thirty minutes or so. But after seeing the results, you will be more motivated than ever. Good Luck!
