Bringing a Phone-Free Experience to the Crown Theatre with Yondr

We are so excited to bring you three amazing acts, Wanda Sykes, Bob Dylan, and Kevin Hart, to the Crown Theatre within the next few weeks. What do these acts have in common? They are all partnering with Yondr, a program that works with artists, educators, and organizations to create phone-free experiences where audiences can let creativity thrive without the distraction of technology.

What to Expect:

These shows will be phone-free experiences. Use of cellphones, cameras, smart watches, binoculars, or recording devices will not be permitted in the performance space.

Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, cameras, smart watches, binoculars, recording devices, etc. will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests will maintain possession of their phones at all times and can access their phones throughout the event at the designated Phone Use Area in the venue. All phones will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the event space.

Anyone seen using a recording device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue. Guests are encouraged to bring a bank or credit card for purchases inside the venue. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

Step 1: Ticket Scanning and Will Call

● Guests will need to have their tickets ready before they enter the building.

● If a guest’s tickets are at Will Call, they will need to have their photo ID ready to collect the tickets.

● If guests have a digital ticket, their seat information will be written down by a Yondr representative and given to them before their phone is secured. Please do not lose this sheet of paper, it is how you will access your seat.

Step 2: Yondr

● All phones, recording devices, smart watches, or tech accessories will be placed and secured in an individual Yondr pouch.

● Guests will keep this pouch for the duration of the show. If guests need to access their devices, they may go to the designated Yondr phone use area in the Arena Lobby where they entered.

Step 3: Security

● The safety of all attendees, staff, and performers is our top priority.

● Guests must pass through the safety checkpoints that we have at all of our events.

● All guests will enter through the Crown Arena lobby and will then be ushered into the Crown Theatre.
